| My name is
Redmer Luxem and this is a
real name. I was born in Aachen
(Germany) and have spent most of my youth in
Esens (Ostfriesland, Germany).
After a one year trip to Bedford, Indiana (USA), I returned my old
school the NIGE to graduate from
highschool in 1990. |

From there I went of to study business
administration, with a focus on
information systems,
at the University of Siegen
up till 1995. |
| To get my doctorate in information
systems I moved to Münster,
where I have been teaching,
researching and working at the
Department of Information
Systemes of the
Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität for the last few years. |

In 1997 there was another little visit
to the US, this time learning and teaching at the
College of Commerce and Business
Administration of the University of
Alabama at Tuscaloosa. |
| In 2000 there I was "down under", where
I did some teaching and research in information systems at the
Department of Information
Systems of the University of
Melbourne. |
